Called a "Daytime Deity" by Soaps In Depth Magazine, Don Diamont rejoined the
cast of The Young and the Restless in June of 1998 as Brad Carlton. He
previously held the role from 1984-1995 during which time he was the first
actor from daytime to be chosen by People Magazine for their 50 Most Beautiful
People In The World Special Issue. In the Spring of 2000, Don was the recipient
of the Australian Inside Soap Magazine Award in the category of "Most Missed
Actor In Daytime." Don was acknowledged by fans, this time voting him
sexiest actor on Y&R.
A native New Yorker, Diamont grew up in Los Angeles, and is the youngest of
four children. Coming from a close knit family, Diamont excelled academically
in high school and was a star athlete. While Don was attending college,
he auditioned for renowned acting coach Nina Foch and was accepted into her
scene class. Don's training led him to be signed by an agent and cast on
the daytime drama series Days Of Our Lives. His performance on Days led
him to being voted Best Newcomer by the magazine Daytime TV. After his
role ended, he was cast on Y&R.
Don recently completed a starring role in the feature film Marco Polo. He
also had a supporting role in the feature film Low Down Dirty Shame.
He has guest starred in numerous primetime series and co-starred in the telefilm
Country Justice with George C. Scott and starred in the Family Channel
telefilm Loyal Opposition with Corbin Bernsen.
Additionally, Don has been actively involved with Multiple Sclerosis, a
cause close to his heart, after her niece Alyssa was diagnosed with the
illness. He recently created the charity event entitled Don Diamont's
Restless Across America in which Don along with Y&R cast members
Peter Bergman (Jack), Scott Reeves (Ryan), and Franceso Quinn (Tomas)
will cycle across America in June of 2001 to bring out awareness and to
raise funds for this disease.
When Don is not working, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Rachel
and sons Alexander, Lauren, Sasha and Luca. Don is also an avid cyclist and
enjoys playing basketball.
Don's birthday is December 31. He is 6'1," has black hair, and has hazel eyes.
